Don't take on role of advisor regarding her musical career. She's been doing it for a while.
Don't ask to be in her band because you play " a little harmonica."
Don't tell her she's a pretty good guitarist "for a girl."
She might not want to have your baby. She might want to be a childless cat lady guitarist.
Let her jam with the guys . It's a special world, and you are not the less to her for it.
Don't manage her wardrobe, based on how you think other guys will react.
She might not be available to make you dinner or clean up. Negotiate chores.
Let her set her own boundaries, as she deals with guys in the business who don't credit her as a producer or player, and give other men credit for work she has done.
The best thing you can do is listen. And believe, not question her. She's just like you, finding her way.
We're all capable of feeling insecure, saying dumb things, being overly sensitive, paranoid .That doesn't belong to one sex. Enjoy and celebrate your girlfriend's musical career. She chose it for a reason, and she chose you too.
